Meteor Motorsport have announced a new racing team, "MT Racing", which will compete in the inaugural season of the F1F Virtual Touring Car Championship. Kazuki Armos will continue with his position of team principal of the new team while continuing to run his IJGPC team as well as returning Meteor team to next season's VGPC.
'I am ecstatic to announce confirmation of my entry to the championship. This provides with a fantastic platform to continue to find the perfect drivers for the foreseeable future.' 'We remain a partnership with Peugeot as we have done in our sister series' and I can announce we intend to run a Peugeot 208 GTi when racing commences'. Armos also revealed a brand new driver line up. Nikolajis Christodoulou will lead the three car team. At present Nikolajs is racing in the EJGP with Schneider Motoren. 'I can't wait to get started!', commented the Greek racer. 'I remain committed to my current season but I hope this transition to a VGPC connected team will help progress my future!' Completing the team will be German, Patryck Feischlendein and brother to current IJGPC driver Stuart Harrison, Jimmi Harrison. Armos has described the series as a great platform for his junior team. 'I remain committed to my IJGPC team. That is my priority in promoting the discovered talent prior to promotion to my VGPC team. MT Racing will allow me to compete previous EJGPC drivers as well as undiscovered talent to see their further potential in motorsport prior to promotion to my IJGPC team or even VGPC team'.
