The 2018 Formula Virtual season could see a different looking race schedule to the 2017 one if rumors are to be believed. Nic Morley, during an interview, hinted that there is likely to be a few changes while also suggesting he had "many" options. During his interview he suggested that the race schedule will remain as eighteen events, however some current V-Prix's will be dropped in favor of new ones.
"We have seen calendar changes already throughout the past five years, so anything won't be out of the ordinary. I have been in contact with a few race event organizers and this has thus opened up many options. There are three races that may be making an appearance in 2018. Those are Argentina at Buenos Aires, Singapore, and Indonesia held at Sentul. I have been pushing for an Argentinian V-Prix since 2015 as I believe it will create even more interested in South America, as well as produce some great races. Singapore has the potential to give us simultaneously our first street and night race for Formula Virtual. Indonesia have shown their ambition to host a V-Prix at Sentul", said Nic Morley. "I believe all these three races have the resources to host a V-Prix in 2018 so it's just a matter of further negotiations and shuffling of the calendar. This does require more thought, and these races will only be properly considered if there is a spot for them next year", finished Nic Morley. It is highly believed that Portgual will be dropped in 2018, while Turkey and the upcoming Bahrain V-Prix are also in danger of being dropped.
