One of the more unusual teams, Lucas Wilson GP, have had a year of ups and downs. Here is team boss, Lucas Wilson on the first half of the championship.
LM: So, Lucas, is this year how you expected it to go? LW: Better, actually, we thought we would have been backmarkers, so its really great to see the cars challenging for points. LM: You had a low point after the first 4 races, with a point in France are things on the up for LWGP? LW: We certainly hope so, we thought that after the first couple of races, we would have no more point scoring races, so to make the top ten again was fantastic. LM: Carson Davenport has been the main points scorer for the team, with Hugh Dywer only scoring once, is he a worse driver? LW: He has a lot of potential, he would have scored points in Australia if the car was not underfueled and he has been involved in a lot of incidents that were not his fault, so I think we missed a few points scoring occasions. LM: What about his actions after the incident in France with Kinnumen? LW: I spoke to him after the race and he was quite angry with the incident and I think the anger on that occasion made his judgement on things questionable. LM: Finally, what was your highlight of the 1st half of the season? LW: Malaysia, both cars in the points. LM: Thank you for your time. LW: A pleasure as always Lenny.
