Peugeot have now announced that the previously signed Brit, Kurtis Gardner, will take the race seat alongside Jean Mattson for the coming season. Gardner was announced to have a significant role in the team next season, it is now though that it is known that Gardner will be the race driver.
Gardner who is due to be his race debut for LucasGP soon said he is excited at the prospect of racing with Peugeot next season. 'The team are really friendly and they have a superb team of engineers there so I hope things go well. Jean is also a fantastic, mature racer and I'll learn a great deal from a driver of his calibre'. Gardner is reportedly on a single season contract and the team are now known for being ruthless when trying to find the perfect driver line up now changing the entire driver line up for the second consecutive season.
