Hello, and welcome to the qualifying for the British Junior Grand Prix live from Brands Hatch, where the winner of the race will recieve the new RAC Junior Tourist Trophy, meaning the recipient will join former winners of the Senior prize in the past such as Tazio Nuvolari, Stirling Moss and Carroll Shelby, to more recent winners like Allan McNish, Alain Menu and Tom Kristensen. Today's qualifying session will be a 15 minute session, and follows the free practice session in which the drivers got a chance to familiarise themselves with iconic corners like Paddock Hill, Druids and later on Dingle Dell and Clearways. The weather is glorious sunshine, but the track temperature is a low 22 degrees. Minute 1: Here we go, qualifying for the RAC Junior Tourist Trophy has begun! Minute 2: Early on in the session and all of the cars are going round out on track. Minute 3: As the cars are coming around to begin their laps, the British Engineering cars look fairly strong, while Kenyon look like they may have a good chance based on practice. Minute 4: Most of the drivers have started their laps, and championship leader Luke Stokey goes around Paddock nicely, but locks a wheel into Druids, running him out wide. Minute 5: Alex Wright sets the fastest lap, 0.4 seconds ahead of Henk Dekzwabber Minute 6: Callum Brandon goes fastest, another good start to the weekend for him so far Minute 7: Yohan Dubois underlines Kenyon's pace, setting the fastest lap with a 1:17.933 Minute 8: Vito Certonio is second fastest, 0.073 seconds slower than Dubois Minute 9: Times are now coming in thick and fast: Palma 7th, Gerrard 3rd, Wilkins 12th Minute 10: Zrigovic isn't having a good session at all, down in 18th Minute 11: Going into the closing stages, Stokey gets fastest lap, 1:17.874 Minute 12: Callum Brandon sets a 1:17.892 to take 2nd, and Vito Certonio takes provisional pole with a sensational 1:17.568 Minute 13: Lower down the order, Kubat takes 16th, Vahasoyrinki is in 17th, Zrigovic 22nd, Pesdebills 23rd and Svensson is in 15th, but with the ten place penalty will end up 25th. Minute 14: Alex Wright sets 5th fastest time, pushing Gerrard down to 6th Minute 15: As the chequered flag falls, cars begin to cross the line. Stokey takes 1st with a 1:17.494, before Dubois obliterates that time with a 1:17.225. Vito Certonio crosses the line last, but ends up taking 2nd, just behind the Frenchman.
