The biggest change is the introduction of a second series. The IJGPC will remain and continue to act as the top support series, and entry will now be given priority to the teams running in the main World Championship, resulting in some teams possibly not getting entry to next seasons championship. Provisionally, the championship will be restricted to 10 teams each with two drivers - this number is fixed, unless a team in the VGPC wishes to enter which would take the number to over 10, in which case the grid will be extended up to a size of 12 teams and 24 drivers, the same as the main championship.
However, the promoters are fully aware that there are teams not connected to main series teams. The proposal is either for them to become the representative of a VGPC team in the International series, or to enter the newly created EJGPC - the European Championship. For this, priority will be given to teams not part of the main series - however, this doesn't stop main series teams from entering, and they can prioritise this series over the International series.
The calendars will now be run as a part of the F1FVGPC main races, meaning teams need to pay less for transportation and travel. Both series will follow the European races in the calendar, with the European Championship missing Estoril, and the International series going to Canada and the United States.
In short, entry to the series will be granted in the following order:
- Teams currently competing in the F1FVGPC can choose to enter the IJGPC with guaranteed entry, and they can put their name down to apply for a place in the EJGPC. If they do not take their IJGPC place, but do take an EJGPC place, then they will recieve guaranteed entry and the reject spot will be give
-When, and only when every team from the F1FVGPC have either confirmed or rejected their spot in the IJGPC, other teams who wish to join the series can get one of the remaining spots in the IJGPC if their are any, or if not, get a guaranteed place in the EJGPC. Teams currently participating in the first season of the IJGPC will get priority to take any remaining IJGPC spots based on their championship position (currently in the order of Morley Engineering, British Engineering and finally Point Cook racing) followed by totally new entries, or they will be .
-After a period of time yet to be decided when other teams can apply to enter, any F1FVGPC teams who have applied for a place in the EJGPC will be allocated the remaining spots, until there are 10-12 teams in the series, and the order of allocation will be based on the final standings of the Season One of the F1 Fanatic Virtual Grand Prix Championship.
