It was a very interesting four days of pre season testing at Estoril. Franklin walked away as clear favorites, however the battle behind them very intriguing. Over the course of the four days the teams all traded places in the pecking order, which has left fellow team owners, fans, media, drivers and the CEO of the series completely confused of what the pecking order will be.
"It is testing so we must all remember that. I remember last year Liverpool were favorites because they had a strong test, but Franklin ended up winning both titles. For me if I had to place a bet on it; Franklin will again this year. They were far ahead of their rivals in testing, but it's not because of that; it's because they are the world champions and it would be silly to right them off", said Nic Morley. "In saying that, I don't think it will be as clear cut as testing suggested. Though I must admit I have no idea what the pecking order will be this year. For the past two years I have had a very good idea of what the pecking order was. This year I have no idea whatsoever. It is difficult to know because of the completely new regulations. Franklin are the favorites, but it's anyone's game. Franklin may destroy the field this year and score a one two finish in every race. On the other hand it could be a lot closer than that", continued Morley. "It's exiting for the fans, teams and drivers, but also myself. We will all have to wait until qualifying, and then we will have a proper indication. I'm overly positive this year is going to be the best season the series has had, for many reasons, and I'm looking forward to it", finished Nic Morley. So with such question marks raised over the performance of teams we will have to wait until the Australian Grand Prix to see who comes out with the goods. Who will dominate? Will anyone even dominate? Who will win? Two teams in contention? Three? Four? Even five? Stay tuned.
