Will Hoskins has denied Liverpool of a hat rick of pole positions after setting the fastest time if 1.33.194 during the qualifying session. Karl Beckenbauer was pipped to the top spot by under a tenth of a second. Will Hoskins and Karl Beckenbauer have finished in the top two places in the opening two rounds of the championship. This look's set to continue as they the pair will share the front row looking to continue on with their thrilling battle at Malaysia. The session wasn't without surprises however, as reigning world champion Nathaniel Power's set the third fastest time; giving Downton their best every grid spot. Carson Davenport also impressed for Lucas Grand Prix with the fourth fastest time, hopefully recapturing that brilliant form he and the team showed at the end of last season. Enrique Ruiz was the fifth quickest ensuring Franklin head into the race with the better grid spot's over their championship rivals. Hugh Dwyer ended qualifying with the sixth fastest time for Fun F1. One of the bigger disappointments of the session was Adrien Simon who could only manage the seventh fastest time. This put's further dents into the Frenchman's championship hopes who already has arguably lost the first two wins of the season due to poor luck. Tumo Kinnumen was eighth quickest and will be looking to Malaysia behind him. Romano Agostino who very nearly made the podium in Malaysia was ninth fastest. Once again Fun F1 are looking quick occupying sixth and ninth on the grid. Puccio Giodano would have been slightly disappointed with his day, eventually rounding out the top ten with a lap of 1.33.804. Diego Campos got one over his highly rated teammate Nikolai Milkovich with the eleventh fastest time for Ingram. It was more disappointment for Team 23 as their highest spot on the grid will be fifteenth in the hands of Elroy Wagner. Fillpio Fazio was the highest placed Peugeot after another frustrating day for the French team. Felix Beyer was the highest placed of the new teams with a twentieth placed grid spot, ahead of Michal Kubat in twenty first for Warrior Racing. With the race looking set to be usually dry, Franklin F1 will be looking to make the most of their grid spots and aim for there second consecutive win. Karl Beckenbauer will be looking for revenge for Malaysia, while his teammate Adrien Simon will be desperate to make his way through the field. Can Nathaniel Power's hold onto third, in which would be his first podium as world champion? Will Fun F1 continue on with their impressive form from Sepang? There are many more questions to be answered ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
