Will Hoskins has carried on in qualifying where he left off in practice yesterday, by topping the times to take pole position for the United States V-Prix. Meanwhile primary championship rivals Olen Inman and Adrien Simon line up third and sixth respectively. Hoskins margin was dramatically slashed compared to yesterday, but he still had over one tenth in hand on Johan Halvosen, with whom he will share the front row. Inman narrowly missed out on displacing Halvosen with his final lap - just 0.016 slower - and will start third ahead of Carson Davenport, while Enrique Ruiz heads Inman's team mate and rival Simon on row three.
Lewis Ellington pulled out a very impressive lap to put his AMR eighth on the grid ahead of local hero Stuart Harrison, with the other American driver Douglas Bacon qualifying twenty-fourth. Jochem van Snelheid - who is currently without a race seat for next season after Lopez announced yesterday Elroy Wagner will replace him for 2017 - beat his team mate and both Westwood's to join Felix Beyer on row six. Nikolai Milkovich struggled after missing practice yesterday and was more than disappointed with seventeenth while Judson Sikes was once again quickest of the new teams, but also beat Karl Beckenbauer in the Ocelot with a scintillating effort.
