Will Hoskins has claimed his second pole position of the season after a stunning lap in the closing stages of Monza qualifying. The celebrations didn't stop there for the team as Tumo Kinnumen set a lap time that was good enough for second place and ensuring a Westwood front row lockout. Enrique Ruiz set the third fastest albeit over four tenths away from Hoskins.
Recently renewed AMR driver Felix Beyer was out qualified by his current teammate; the Dutchman setting the eleventh quickest time. Enzo Domenicalli was another disappointed driver as he could only manage a time good enough for twelfth. The Italian was nine tenth of his teammate and a 2015 championship is becoming increasingly unlikely. Adrien Simon made several mistakes during qualifying and as such will start the race from thirteenth. The Meteor drivers of Stuart Harrison and Johan Halvosen qualified in fourteenth and fifteenth. The FUN pair were next, Carson Davenport beating his teammate Romano Agostino to sixteenth. Judson Sikes, Hugh Dwyer, Karl Beckenbaur, and James Harding will fill spots eighteenth to twenty-first in their Ocelot's and Warriors'. Marcus Thunder's mechanical woes continued from yesterday forcing the Brit from leaving the pits during the entire session and thus, leaving the Downton driver with a lot of work to do in the race.
We look set to be in for an intriguing Italian V-Prix with many questions to be answered. Will Westwoods' formidable speed carry on into the race and thus keep the Franklins behind? Can Enrique Ruiz chip further into Elroy Wagners championship lead? or could perhaps Enzo Domenicalli bring himself back into play?
The weather reports suggest for a sunny and dry race with a slight chance of cloud. Join us tomorrow for the 2015 Italian V-Prix.
