James Harding has been forced to pull out of the rest of the F1FVGP Season 2 Championship after coming off second hand whilst defending his position from teammate and good friend, Michal Kubat in the Malaysian Grand Prix. Kubat went for a bold move down Harding's inside at the Turn 7-8 complex, and the duo made heavy contact as Kubat was in James' blindspot. The resulting contact sent James into a spectacular yet horrifying barrel roll, spinning 7 times.
Harding was immediately flown to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur as Medics at the circuit feared he had many broken bones, which were confirmed on X-Rays. Harding is suffering from a severe concussion, has broke all of his Phalangees in his right hand, his right Radius, his right collarbone, exactly half of his vertebrae were fractured, as well as the bottom of his cranium, his kneecaps, his ankle, and all but 1 rib. He also tore his ACL in his left knee, and is suffering from a lightly punctured lung as debris flew into his chest during the barrel-rolls. Michal was horrified when he heard of James' severe injuries when he returned to Parc Ferme, that he cancelled all of his post race interviews to go and see James in hospital, and give the Harding family his greatest apologies who travelled from their hometown of Wagga Wagga in New South Wales to be here for the race. Warrior Racing have also asked that the media stay away from the topic and to give the family privacy as they go through a tough time. Warrior's Test and Reserve Driver, 21 year old Austrian Abel Osterhagen was called shortly after he finished Pre-Season testing for Virtual Renault 3000, getting offered James' seat. Reports so far suggest Abel has accepted and will drive the rest of the Season with Warrior Racing. Warrior Racing have since created a link on twitter, #GoodFortunesWillCome, which they say was James' main motivation during the difficult times at Molto Veloce. Warrior will also be placing this hashtag, along with the twitter logo, on their livery beside the driver's cockpit, as a mark of respect for this True Blue Aussie. Get Well Soon Mate.
