After two months of driver signings, car reveals, and general discussion, the newest Formula Virtual season has begun at Estoril as the teams and drivers test their cars for the first time. Arguably the biggest rule change this year is the addition of different tyre compounds and the ban on refueling in a race. This has led teams to testing different tyre compounds over the next four days of testing, in a bid to gather as much data as possible before the season opening Australian V-Prix. It was a sunny and warm day at the Estoril circuit making it the perfect day for testing. Franklin topped the time sheets in the hands of the test driver Aron Einarsson, running the soft tyre compound. The DS cars followed with the second and third fastest times in the hands of Adrien Simon and Olen Inman. The team impressed with a time only three tenths off the pace and running the hardest tyre compound available. Marcus Thunder was fourth quickest for Downton, while his teammate Nathaniel Powers was eighth fastest. The Downton drivers used the super soft tyre but worryingly a second off the fastest time. The Ingram elected to opt for the soft tyres; this placed their drivers with the fifth and ninth fastest times of the day. James Harding was sixth quickest for Lopez after running the medium tyres throughout the day; the Australian a second off the fastest time. AMR test driver Jarod Lindsey managed the seventh fastest time for eh day while running the super soft tyre compound. The Kiwi's best time was two tenths away from the fastest super soft lap time done by Marcus Thunder.
