After The opening race of FV-season 2015 it was announced that Hugh Dwyer, who was on loan for one race at Ocelot, has made an permanent move to the Japanese team. The Canadian driver moves to Ocelot from FUN, who dropped him from their racing line-up for this season. Rai Miyamoto had the following to say on the signing of Hugh Dwyer to the team for the entire season and possibly many seasons to come:
”We are more than happy to announce that Dwyer has joined the team for the rest of the season having impressed us in the short time he has been apart of the team. We can now confirm that we see Dwyer as a driver who will lead the team forward for hopefully many years to come and together hope to challenge the field.”I can also confirm that the confirmation of Hugh in one of our seats does not mean Sikes will be dropped, instead we believe this decision will motivate both Judson and Scott to rally for the second seat and thus hopefully showing us which one would be more beneficial to the team.” The following shock decision of Dwyer joining Ocelot now has lead to rumors that Scott Parsons will be dropped for the second race of the season in favor of young rookie, Judson Sikes. FUN's team-principal Dick Diceman was happy for Dwyer: "We'd like to thank Hugh for everything he has done for FUN FV, and wish him all the best at Ocelot. I'm extremely glad he gets a chance to show his incredible skills to everyone, as we unfortunately didn't have room for him. I'm sure he'll show the world what he's capable of. The only thing I'm worried about is that he might help Ocelot to beat us in the WCC!" Dwyer himself was also pleased with the move: "I'm really happy to get back to racing. Ocelot has felt like home for me since our first practice together, and I'm really glad I can spend the whole season, and hopefully even more, in here. I'd like to thank Dick Diceman for allowing me to go, and wish everyone at FUN all the best for the future." The transfer-fee for Dwyer was not announced.
