After the storms of yesterday the teams and drivers were wary of the skies above; however the threat of rain never emerged. This didn't faze Karl Beckenbauer as claimed pole position with a time of 1.47.647. For the second race in succession Will Hoskins will join him on the front row, albeit over a tenth of a second behind. Adrien Simon was third fastest after edging out fourth quickest Enrique Ruiz.
Fifth fastest Tumo Kinnumen was three tenths away from pole but once again proved himself to be mighty qualifier. Elroy Wagnr had one of his best sessions of the year, the Team 23 driver was sixth quickest. Nikolai Milkovich followed him in seventh, while the Downton duo of Nathaniel Powers and Marcus Thunder were eighth and ninth. Jean Mattson rounded out the top ten, ensuring both Team 23 cars to start in the top ten for tomorrows race. Puccio Giodano could only manage eleventh in the dry conditions while the Ingram of Diego Campos was twelfth fastest. Kurtis Gardner was the highest placed Lucas in thirteenth, Lewis Ellington the highest placed Peugeot in fourteenth, and Hugh Dwyer the highest placed Fun in fifteenth. Enzo Domenicalli topped off a disappointing day for Scuderia Rossi with the sixteenth quickest time. Lee Fuller was next in eighteenth, eding out Regi Abott, Hiroto Nakumaya, and Abel Osterhagen. Felix Byer set the twenty-first fastets time, with Carson Davenport following behind in a below par qualifying. Keith Boston will start from twenty-third on his race return after a disastrous weekend so far. Michal Kubat in the Mercedes powered Warrior will join him on the back row. The qualifying results set up another thrilling battle for the championship; the Franklins and Liverpools once again making up the top four positions. Liverpool will be desperate for a strong result after a tremendous amount of poor luck during recent events. Will Hoskins will have his eye on Beckenbauer on the start and will be looking to repeat his performane in Austria. However things may not be so easy for any of the drivers tomorrow as the weather reports are indicating a return of the weather we seen in practice, however only worse. Reports indicate we will defiantly see rain throughout the race while likely a monsoon will hit the circuit at race start. The F1F Virtual Grand Prix is set for a thrilling 2014 Belgian Grand Prix.
