11 rounds around the world across racetracks, ovals and street circuits – and it all comes down to this, a 33-lap race around the streets of Marrakesh to decide the 2023 eVirtual World Championship.

The eVirtual tour makes its final stop of the season on the streets of Marrakech in Morocco, and with this being a street circuit, today's qualifying session is all important ahead of tomorrow's Championship deciding race.
We have arrived at the penultimate round of the 2023 eVirtual season, and for the first time ever the series is in Quebec for the Canadian eV-Prix at ICAR Speedway. Local hero Jules Barclay has claimed pole on a good day for Porsche, with fellow North American Sam Hudson alongside him on the front row. In a shock result, the top 2 in the championship occupy the 24th and 25th positions on the grid after a woeful qualifying for both of them. It’s a cold day in Canada, and the power mode choice makes it clear that this race will be a flat out sprint. 25 drivers will be starting on the Attacking power mode, with only Ryota Yoshida going against the trend from 9th.
The qualifying session from Canada ahead of the penultimate round of the season has produced a topsy turvy grid for the race.
With just 3 rounds remaining, the final triple crown event is upon us, in what could be a defining race of the 2023 season. Of the championship challengers, only Jules Barclay was able to claim any bonus points by qualifying in 4th. Thunström and Zozulya start further back in 7th and 9th respectively.
Although the Medium tyre is the preferred strategy for the majority of the field, there is still a strong Soft contingent led by polesitter Aron Einarsson. Additionally, both GP1’s, Thunström, Zozulya, Hudson, Hölzberg, Roberts, Inman and Christodoulou will be starting on the fastest single lap tyres. Gianluca di Stefano, in his 5th start of the season, is the sole entrant on Hard tyres. A wet track greeted the drivers as they made there way onto track for qualifying of the last Triple Crown race of the season.
The final leg of the season is upon us, and a mixed up qualifying has left this race entirely up in the air. Our three championship contenders will start in 14th, 16th and 17th, and there are 8 manufacturers represented in the top 10. With his first ever pole position, Sam Hudson is looking to resurrect his championship charge, but he will have to fend off the competition led by BMW’s Kip Maxwell. Both are running today’s preferred strategy on the medium tyres, with eVirtual finally leaving the frigid European winter behind. Sticking with the softs regardless are Porsche, Thunder, Brzyski, Christodoulou, Addison and Yoshida while both Arrow’s are running the hard tyres alongside Ethan Matthews and Gabriele Garcia.
It’s a second street circuit in a row, with eVirtual taking over downtown Pau for the French eV-Prix. The championship frontrunners have all risen to the top after Saturday’s qualifying session and it will undoubtedly be a fierce fight amongst the top 4, all of whom are on soft tyres. The alternate medium strategy is being run by both Bentley’s as well as Stefánsson, Matthews, Kruuda, Vocquelin, Garcia and Davies, while Cosmo Roberts is the sole runner on the hard tyres. With rain falling, eVirtual’s all weather tyres are in use for the first time this season, adding an extra challenge to what is already a tough street circuit.
